Working closely with the architect and owners during the design stage we together achieved a bright, sunny home that met all the requirements of a passive house. The windows and doors were designed to prevent overheating and the SIPS and uPVC windows provided high levels of insulation and air tightness.
The owners were retiring and looking towards a warm healthy home with minimal running costs, but also a place they could entertain their children and grandchildren. The large open plan living area with timber floor and floating stairwell are two of the many interior features. Outside, window and door louvres break up the light exterior plaster finish.
