Design Services

We utilise a range of reputable and experienced designers. We first discuss your ideas and family’s priorities, style, needs & wants, and limitations such as budget and section size. We can then assist you to make an informed decision on who would best suit your needs.

We have several passive house and SIPs designers we continue to successfully work alongside, and who we contract out to, including our in-house designer. They all have different styles, experience and costs but it is important to have that choice alongside the knowledge that whatever their style or cost they have the knowledge to design your home to the standards required. The designer builder relationship is very important and the earlier in the process this can be established the better. By working closely together, with you, the client, as a team, we can avoid cost blow outs in design, discuss alternative building methods and materials, and provide you with a design that meets all your requirements.

We are happy to show you some of the designers work and arrange introductory meetings with the potential designer(s).

Our design process includes completing an estimate at concept stage to provide you with confidence to move forward to full working drawings. At this stage, we can advise on alternative building solutions, if required, or look at costs of additional features.

Once full working drawings are completed, our design service also includes providing a full fixed price contract for you. Whilst the plans are being completed our Client Liaison works with you to finalise inclusions that are not detailed in the plans, such as flooring, joinery, hardware etc. The aim is to be able to present to you a price that is as accurate as possible based upon what you, the homeowner, wants. Not the cheapest option to keep the price down and not our assumptions.
